Diego Godoy is a Chilean spinto tenor of French origin, widely recognized as the most outstanding tenor of Chilean nationality of the decade 2015–2025 for having the highest number of international appearances during this period. He is the winner of the 2024 Prix Révélation Musicale from the Escapades Musicales Festival and has performed on prestigious stages such as the Chorégies d’Orange, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Cairo Opera House, the Japan Opera Festival, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
In the current season, he performed as Manrico (Il Trovatore) at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, Don José (Carmen) at the Slovak State Opera, and made his debut as Cavaradossi (Tosca) at the National Theatre in Bratislava. He also took part in the 2025 New Year’s Concert of Serbian National Television in Belgrade, and sang Don José (Carmen) and Ferdinand (The Tempest by Adès) at the Staatstheater Kassel. Additionally, he was featured in the Opening Gala of the Chorégies d’Orange Festival, broadcast by France TV5.
With more than 30 leading roles in his repertoire, Diego Godoy is considered one of the most distinguished tenors of his generation.
