CURRENT REPERTOIRE
Graduated from the Lyric Singing Teaching Unit of the “Amadeo Roldán” Conservatory in Havana, Cuba, with excellent grades and praise from the evaluation jury. During his studies, he was selected to perform as one of the Armed Men in The Magic Flute, Normando and Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Giuseppe in La Traviata, Parpignol in La Bohème, among others.
He made his solo debut in 2017 at just 24 years old, performing the role of Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca. Later, he took on roles such as Alfredo in La Traviata, the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto (one of the most frequently performed roles in his career), Saturnin in the opera Le Val d’Andorre, Florestan in Fidelio, Phoebus in the contemporary opera El Canto del Amor Triunfante, Luigi in Il Tabarro, and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi—both roles performed in the same Il Trittico production by Puccini—Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and Mozart’s Requiem.
He has also played Leonardo in Cecilia Valdés, the child Fernando in María la O, Javier in Luisa Fernanda, Romo in Molinos de Viento, Gustavo in Los Gavilanes, and Rafael in the zarzuela La Dolorosa.
He has participated in several musicals, showcasing his ability to transform on stage, including: Erik in The Phantom of the Opera, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, the Genie in Aladdin, Phoebus in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, La Música a Escena, and From the Alhambra to Martí.
He has received masterclasses from sopranos Miettha Sighele and Fiorenza Cedolins, renowned mezzo-soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera, and tenors Jorge de León, Ricardo Muñiz, and Alfonso Leoz.
He has an extensive concert repertoire, featuring both Cuban and international music.
He has performed in multiple countries, including Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Andorra, Portugal, France, Spain, and Italy.
He has been recognized in several opera singing competitions, including:
Grand Prize at the Jesús Lee in Memoria competition, Cuba, 2011.
Second place at the Ernesto Lecuona competition, Cuba, 2012.
Mietta Sighele Study Scholarship at the Ricardo Zandonai competition, Italy, 2016.
Best Zarzuela Performer Award at the Ciudad de Logroño competition, 2024.
Second place at the Compostela Lírica competition, 2024.
