Soprano, France
CURRENT REPERTOIRE
After studying at the Conservatory of Music in Toulon and at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome under Renata Scotto, she quickly gained acclaim from critics for the richness of her dramatic spinto soprano timbre. The role of Tosca at the Opéra de Massy brought her to the public eye and led her to perform this role in more than forty major theaters across Europe. Puccini's Turandot is also her favorite role; she performed it in Italy at the Teatro Antique of Taormina, at the Teatro Antique of Tindari, at the Lirico Festival of Noicattaro, in France at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand and the Opéra de Massy, as well as on tour in Spain.
A winner for the role of Santuzza at the 26th International Singing Competition of Clermont-Ferrand, which was chaired by Inva Mula, she also won the Audience Award. She will perform Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Opéra Grand Avignon, the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand, the Opéra de Massy, in Vichy, and at the Saint-Céré Festival. Her bel canto technique also allows her to tackle the role of Imogene in Il Pirata by Bellini at the Opéra de Bordeaux in tribute to Maria Callas, as well as the mythical role of Norma at the Opéra de Clermont Ferrand and the Opéra de Massy, and in Spain at the Grand Theatre of Alicante, Cadiz, Zaragoza, and Cartagena in 2024.
She also embodies Aïda in the famous production by Zeffirelli in Italy and France, Abigaille in Nabucco, Leonora in Il Trovatore, La Traviata at the Teatro Antico of Taormina and Siracusa in Italy, and Verdi's Requiem at the Opéra de Massy, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Marseille, at Chartres Cathedral, and at the Saint-Sulpice and La Trinité churches in Paris. Recently, she has been invited to China for a tour with an orchestra featuring the great French repertoire. Chrystelle Di Marco is the artistic director of the "International Festival Sand & Chopin in Seyne" and the "Historical Pianos Concerts" in La Seyne-sur-Mer.
