Georgi Dinev was born on October 20th in Yambol where he finished Ivan Rainov High School. In 1997 he graduated from NATFA “Krastio Sarafov” in the Acting for puppet theatre specialty in the class of prof. Bonio Lungov.
He started singing classes with Mariya Angelova in 1990 and after that continues with prof. Konstantin Karapetrov as a private student. Later, he started taking singing classes with Dr K.Vachkova in 1999. He took part in the Singing Master Classes of the big opera artists Boiko Tsvetanov, Kaludi Kaludov and Peter Danailov and after that he continued his work with the big Bulgarian opera tenor Kamen Chanev. In 2008 he graduated from the National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” with Music and Scene Directing specialty. In 2015 he obtained his Master’s degree in Art Management from the Plovdiv Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts.
Professional experience
In 1995 he makes his debut on the scene of the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre in Sofia in the role of Yan Bibiyan from Dimitar Valchev’s musical. Georgi Dinev appears on the scene of the National Music Theatre in a number of leading soubrette roles such as Boni in The Gipsy Princess – Kalman, Toni in the Circus Princess – Kalman, Baron Szupan in the Countess Maritza – Kalman, Babbs in Charlie’s Aunt, Ivan in Old times’ Bulgarians – A.Karastoyanov and many others till 2000.
He’s a laureate of the First National Contest for young operetta and musical singers in the name of Mimi Balkanska – 1997.
Since 2003, Geogri Dinev is a soloist in States Opera Stara Zagora. He makes a debut in his first leading role of Nemorino from Donicetti’s L'elisir d'amore.
In November 2014 he was hired as a stage director in the Stara Zagora State Opera and since 2016 he is also a stage director in Plovdiv State Opera.
As soloist he has been guest performing in USA, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Guatemala and Macedonia.
From 2000 until 2011 he was part of the tours of Teatro Lirico D’Europa formation in USA. From 2010 till 2014 he was a member of Die himmlische nacht der tenöre in Germany. And since 2014, he takes part in the Die nacht der 5 tenöre.
His career includes over 500 concerts in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, France, Austria and USA.
He has been singing under the baton of : Ruslan Raichev, Nayden Todorov, Dian Tchobanov, Gareth Morrell, Eugene Kohn, Steven White.
